PART 1: PRIVACY POLICY
Purpose of Policy Notice
Morency & Associates, Inc. respects your right to privacy and values you as a customer. Our goal is to treat any personal information you provide with the utmost respect and created this privacy policy to show you we are working hard to protect your privacy. We adhere to these principles for gathering and sharing customer information:
1. Information We Collect
We collect top-of-funnel, non-sensitive personal information strictly necessary to facilitate an insurance quote request. This includes:
- Contact Data: Name, address, email address, and phone number.
- Risk/Property Data: Address, General zip code, property type, or commercial industry details.
- Note: We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, vehicle identification numbers (VINs), medical histories, or bank account credentials.
2. How We Secure and Store Data
All data is captured securely via 256-bit SSL encryption using our data intake vendor, Jotform, and stored across secure, encrypted cloud-hosting environments. We do not engage in behavioral tracking, data profiling, or targeted ad-retargeting campaigns. We also use a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This keeps all information confidential when it is sent between our website and your computer.
3. Permitted Third-Party Disclosures
We share your submitted details strictly with licensed Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance carriers and their authorized underwriters to compile the insurance quote you requested. We do not sell or lease consumer data to unaffiliated third-party marketing companies. We exchange customer information with non-affiliated entities, only to the extent required or permitted by law, for underwriting, administrative, or risk management purposes, verification, and to detect or prevent fraud. Third-party business partners are bound by law to use the information only for our purposes. They may not disclose it or use it in any other way.
4. Business Transitions & Asset Sales
In the event that our parent S-corporations undergo a corporate transition—such as a merger, corporate restructuring, acquisition by another company, or asset sale of all or a portion of our insurance book and digital lead platforms—consumer contact databases and submission histories will be legally assigned and securely transferred to the acquiring entity as an active business asset. Your personally identifiable information (PII) will likely be among the assets transferred.
5. Visitor Data
When you visit and browse our website, our Web servers automatically collect and store: domain name and host you use to access the Internet, the Internet protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using, browser software you use and operating system, the date and time you access our sites, and the Internet address of the site from which you linked directly to one of our sites.
Gathering data on the website is a standard industry practice and is used to find out how visitors use our site. We collect aggregate information on the public areas of our Web site. We also collect information on an individual basis on areas of our website that require visitors to logon using an ID and password. We may collect the following data:
- How many people visit our website
- The pages they visit and the features they use
- How long they stay on our website
- The website people come from before reaching our website
